Betty Jo's Story
I live on Amelia Island, FL with my husband and two toy poodles. I worked as an RN for too many years to mention and have been retired for 3 yrs. My two sons, Trey and Lance, are grown and are both outstanding young men. Trey has one son who is 16 yrs old and Lance is getting ready to be a dad for the first time....pretty exciting for me and he and his wife of 11 yrs! I need to brush up on what's new for babies in the past 16 yrs!! Bob and I have a house in Murphy, NC where we spend a lot of time. We recently visited the Biltmore House...first time I had been there in over 50 yrs. Asheville has sure changed but it still feels like home. I have connected with a few classmates, but am hoping we have a reunion in 2011 so I can renew some friendships.
The new grandson srrived on July 20th and he is a handsome and healthy boy. I have been able to see him at 2 wks, 4 wk, 3 months and will see him next week for Thanksgiving. Been in the mountains for a month and heading home to Florida after the holiday. Life is good!

se of you who could not or chose not to come to the reunion, you missed a wonderful weekend. I believed it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. For those who couldn't come because of health reason, I understand, but for those who just didn't want to come, I feel sorry for you. It was an emotional three days for me and I didn't want it to end. I know that many of us will never see each other again. There were several people I didn't get to talk to and I do regret that, but there were plenty that I did talk to. Our school is like a college campus, Asheville is still as beautiful as ever and our classmates are phenomenal!! God Bless them and for the many classmates that have died over the years, rest in peace dear friends. We missed you and as your names were read at the BBQ on Saturday, we shed tears for you. Thanks to all who put this reunion together but especially to Mary Ruth, Joanne Carter and all who searched high and low for people on the phone, computer, etc. In conclusion, I loved every minute of it........
